Summary:
Directly assists Facilities & Maintenance Manager (FMA) in performing of maintenance operations in all aspects of the cottage's interiors/exteriors, including public areas.
Facilitates technical and mechanical work that ensures that the cottages, grounds and perimeter landscaping, amenities, and common areas meet Crystal Cove Management standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and overall functionality by performing maintenance-related tasks as assigned/delegated by FMM.
Responsibilities include maintenance of all cottages and support facilities, including overall inspections, repairs, and general maintenance of rental-ready cottages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities General knowledge of home construction, maintenance, and repairs - carpentry, plumbing, electrical circuits and wiring, furniture, fixtures, doors/locks, floor surfaces, etc.
Helps maintain adequate inventory of spare parts, maintenance materials, supplies and tools as needed to stay within budgetary guidelines.
Identifies safety and risk management concerns, keeps the cottages in good repair, communicates concerns about the physical needs appropriately.
Helps in conducting daily/weekly and monthly inspections, record-keeping and schedules all maintenance repairs, as required.
Responsible for maintaining all operational equipment, including carts, computers, office equipment and all supporting laundry machinery and chemical.
Secondarily, fulfills duties and responsibilities as relief/fill-in guest shuttle driver, two days weekly, in place of Guest Shuttling Service driver (transporting guests and their personal belongings during departure and arrival times) in a safe and friendly manner.
Offers general guest assistance and service occasionally:
Responds to guest concerns promptly.
Records as necessary, any present and/or future maintenance needs, issues, observed potential problems, ideas, solutions, etc.
Assists in coordinating all material/supplies deliveries and appropriate storage and distribution thereof.
Complies with all safety practices and policies in accordance with CCBC standards.
Required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Ability to apply common sense understanding, problem solving, make rational decisions, etc.
to fully carry out duties and responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
Due to the location of Crystal Cove Cottages, this is a position that requires certain physical abilities.
These requirements include, but are not limited to:
Must be able to move program equipment from storage areas to a variety of locations.
