Private Sector Planning Position with Real Estate Developer

We are an established real estate development company seeking a driven, motivated and outgoing individual to help research City planning and zoning standards, and assist with our land and property acquisition efforts. We offer a professional working environment; you will have your own office (not a cubicle) in Newport Beach, near John Wayne airport. This is a part or full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Study current and General Plan zoning information and development standards.
- Reach out (call, email and write letters) to city planning departments, city council members, planning commissioners, brokers and land sellers.
- Update and maintain property search criteria, so we learn of new properties as soon as they become available.
- Work with company owner to communicate with existing and new broker contacts, based on properties of interest.
Qualifications:
- Must love real estate
- Must be excited to network and communicate with real estate brokers & cities
- Experience in real estate
- Must be a fast and skilled computer user
- Excellent written and phone skills
- Self-motivated and high energy
- Comfortable with real estate search websites such as LoopNet, CoStar, MLS, etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Some travel
- College degree preferred, not required

Compensation full time: $35,000 - $50,000

Compensation part time: $25-$30/hour

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
